COMPOSITION-
FERROUS ASCORBATE 100 mg, ZINC SULPHATE MONOHYDRATE 7.5 mg, FOLIC ACID 1 mg, METHYLCOBALAMIN 1500 mcg
MONOFER-XT SOFT GEL contains FERROUS ASCORBATE, FOLIC ACID, ZINC SULPHATE & METHYLCOBALAMIN as its active ingredients used to treat the deficiency of iron, folic acid & zinc in the body. This unique composition have excellent absorption with no GI disorder and iron toxicity.
FERROUS ASCORBATE is converted to ferric form after administration and immediately reduced to ferrous form in stomach without any dissociation in GI tract due to stable chelate of iron with ascorbate then transferred to the duodenum where it is highly absorbed. FERROUS ASCORBATE fulfill the requirement of body because the advantage of providing both ferrous ion and ascorbate in the same compound.
ZINC SULPHATE is an essential component in body it improves the absorption of water and electrolytes, improves regeneration of the intestinal epithelium, increases the levels of brush border enzymes, and enhances the immune response, allowing for a better clearance of the pathogens.
FOLIC ACID transported across cells by receptor-mediated endocytosis where they maintain normal erythropoiesis, synthesize purine & thymidylate nucleic acids, interconvert amino acids and methylate tRNA along with the ability to normalize high homocysteine levels by remethylation of homocysteine to methionine via methionine synthetase.
METHYLCOBALAMIN is a cobalamin a potent form of vitamin B12 used as a nutritional supplement in case of deficiency. As per literary data METHYLCOBALAMIN protects eye function from neurotoxicity caused by glutamate.

ADULTS(OVER 12 YEARS)- Take 1 soft gel daily between meals or as directed by physician.
Before taking this medication tell your doctor about all kind of allergies you have and also Care should be taken in patients who may develop iron overload, such as those with haemochromatosis, haemolytic anemia or red cell aplasia.
