Bromexyl Forte Tablets
“REMARKABLE MEDICINE WITH REMARKABLE QUALITY AND CARE”
COMPOSITION-
TERBUTALINE SULPHATE 1.25 mg, BROMHEXINE HcL 8 mg, GUAIPHENESIN 100 mg
BROMEXYL TABLETS contains TERBUTALINE SULPHATE, BROMHEXINE HcL & GUAIPHENESIN as its active ingredient combination of multiple components such as beta 2-adrenergic agonist, mucolytic agent & conventional expectorant used for the removal of tenacious secretions in the respiratory tract and reduces mucus stasis.
TERBUTALINE SULPHATE functions via attributable to stimulation through beta-adrenergic receptors on intracellular adenyl cyclase, the enzyme that catalyses the conversion of adenosine triphosphate to cyclic-3′,5′-adenosine monophosphate. As a result AMP levels are associated with relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle and inhibition of release of mediators of immediate hypersensitivity from cells, especially from mast cells.
BROMHEXINE HcL functions by acting on the mucus producing cells and depolymerises the high molecular-weight mucopolysaccharide-protein fibers responsible for viscosity of bronchial secretions as a result thinning of mucus it reduces airways resistance and this clears the respiratory passages by facilitating expectoration.
GUAIPHENESIN functions by stimulating receptors in the gastric mucosa that initiates a reflex secretion of respiratory tract fluid as a result volume of mucus increases and viscosity decreases that easily expel out.
