When FERROUS ASCORBATE administered is converted to ferric form and immediately reduced to ferrous form in stomach without any dissociation in GI tract due to stable chelate of iron with ascorbate then transferred to the duodenum where it is highly absorbed. FOLIC ACID- FOLIC ACID is a water soluble B-complex vitamin that stimulates the hematopoietic system and used in the treatment and prevention of folate deficiencies. FOLIC ACID transported across cells by receptor-mediated endocytosis where  they  maintain normal erythropoiesis, synthesize purine & thymidylate nucleic acids, interconvert amino acids and  methylate tRNA along with the ability to normalize high homocysteine levels by remethylation of homocysteine to methionine via methionine synthetase.
