OFLOXACIN is bactericidal and used in the treatment of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, gonorrhea as well as infections of the skin, bladder, urinary tract, reproductive organs and prostate. OFLOXACIN has good affinity to bind with DNA gyrase enzyme which helps to inhibit the bacterial cell division. OFLOXACIN having anti-leprotic activity.

OFLOXACIN is binds itself with the enzyme called DNA gyrase which allows the untwisting of DNA double helix. This mechanism prevents the supercoiling of DNA in the process of transcription that further inhibits the normal bacterial cell division.
