KETOROLAC TROMETHAMINE 0.5%, OFLOXACIN 0.3%
Tolar Plus constitutes of a Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug inhibits the COX-1, associated with the inflammation as well as COX-2 associated with pain. The duo plays vital role in the production of Postglandins and Thromboxane from Arachidonic acid through a series of reactions. The latter two are responsible for the series of actions take place in during the inflammation, like pain, itching, redness, discharges, etc.
Also, Tolar Plus Eye Drops is fortified with OFLOXACIN, a synthetic antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone drug class considered to be a second-generation fluoroquinolone. Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobic bacteria. It functions by inhibiting DNA gyrase, a type II topoisomerase, and topoisomerase IV, which is an enzyme necessary to separate, replicated DNA and also help in its repair, thereby inhibiting bacterial cell division.
Acute Surface Infections related to bacterial invasion, Bacterial conjunctivitis, Secondary Infection and Inflammation in Allergic Conjunctivitis, Post Eye Surgery along with inflammation related.
Instill 1 Drop of TOLAR-PLUS into the affected eye(s) Four times a day or as directed by the Eye Doctor depending upon the problem.
- If irritation persists discontinue the usage and contact the physician.
- For external use not for injection.
- Discard the solution if becomes cloudy or changes color.
- Growth of Resistant Organisms with Prolonged Use
- Avoidance of Contact Lens Wear
- Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the constituent
and patients currently being administered aspirin or any other NSAID.
Adverse Effect: Prolong use may cause headache, blurred vision, burning sensation.
